(LOS ANGELES, CA) - From all appearances, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have had a hectic year, juggling multiple television shows and real estate transactions. Most recently, they sold their Encino home for $2.5 million.

The six-bedroom, 6 ½-bathroom Tuscan-style villa, built in 2001, sits behind gates on a tree-lined street. The 6,718-square-foot home features a two-story entry, a silver-leafed coffered ceiling in the dining room, an office, a den and a master bedroom suite with a sitting area, a fireplace and a balcony. The kitchen opens to a family room. French doors from the public rooms lead to landscaped grounds with a saline pool and spa.

The house was featured in their reality show, "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" (2007-11). The pair bought the property in 2008 for $2.945 million. It had been listed at $3.199 million in April.

The actors also bought a house in Malibu shortly before the birth of their third child this fall for $2.4 million, public records show.

The 2,300-square-foot house sits on about 1.75 acres covered in native landscaping, organic gardens and lawn. The single-story home, built in the 1960s and since renovated, features bamboo floors, a vaulted living room ceiling, a wall of built-in book shelves, three bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. Custom-built sliding doors lead outside to multiple decks and sitting areas.

The property had been listed in May at $2.875 million.

Spelling, 38, made a name for herself as an actress playing Donna Martin in "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990-2000) and reprised the role in "90210" (2009). The daughter of Aaron and Candy Spelling, she appears with her mother in the two-part HGTV special "Selling Spelling Manor."

McDermott, 45, played Constable Turnbull on "Due South" (1997-99) and appeared on the crime drama "1-800-Missing" (2003-04).

Their new series, "Tori & Dean: Storibook Weddings," aired this year.

Peter Gruber Sells Bel-Air Home

Producer and Mandalay Entertainment chief Peter Guber has sold a Bel-Air house for $13.8 million.

The one-story home, built in 1959, sits on two flat acres with mature trees and landscaping. The 4,324-square-foot house has high ceilings and views from downtown to the ocean. There are three bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Guber, 69, has produced such films as "The Color Purple" (1985), "Rain Man" (1988), "Batman" (1989) and "Batman Returns" (1992).

On to Their Next Big Production?

Producer and talent manager Steve Alexander and his wife, interior designer Vanessa Alexander, have sold a Malibu estate for $9.454 million.

Set on 2.6 acres in the Serra Retreat area, the newly built house combines the feel of a Hamptons barn with modern details in loft-like spaces. Some 6,500 square feet of living space include an office, theater, gym, six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Outdoors is a swimming pool with cabana, a kitchen with a pizza oven and a fire pit.

The former Creative Artists Agency agent represented such stars as Heath Ledger, Jeff Bridges and Natalie Portman before joining Mosaic Media Group several years ago and returning to his origins as a producer. Vanessa Alexander did the home's interiors.

Signing Off on Malibu Waves

Radio personality Jonathon Brandmeier has parted with his Malibu estate for $4.1 million.

The nearly 6,000-square-foot ocean-view home features patios, balconies, an office, a media room, a gym, six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The 1.6-acre site includes a swimming pool, a hot tub, a sports court, an art studio and a koi pond.

Brandmeier, 55, has been heard on L.A. airwaves at KLSX-FM (97.1). However, he spent most of his broadcasting career as a staple on Chicago radio. He sold his Malibu home because he now lives in Chicago, where he is the WGN-AM morning host.

Brandmeier bought the property new in 1997 for $2.675 million, according to public records.
