(DUBAI, UAE) -- Mourjan Marinas IGY, the luxury developer and manager of marinas and yachting destinations based in Dubai, has allied with the Moroccan investment firm Libra Capital to start the master plan for an exclusive waterfront project in the southwest of Morocco including hotels, golf courses, retail and dining outlets, and a marina with a substantial number of berths for mega yachts.

Mourjan Marinas IGY will lead marine environmental studies, commercial viability, and feasibility studies ahead of construction of the Riviera Waterfront project. Michael Horrigan, CEO of Mourjan Marinas IGY, said, ''It is with great pleasure that we start work with Libra Capital to ensure successful and smooth operations in the run up to the construction, development, and management of this world class venture for Morocco.''

Rachid Laaouimir, CEO of Libra Capital, said, ''We are delighted to be working with a company as reliable and experienced in successful marina development and management as Mourjan Marinas IGY for The Riviera Waterfront Project.''

The Riviera Waterfront project in Morocco furthers Mourjan Marinas IGY's goal to be at the forefront of the maritime industry in the region. In addition to the Grand Sochi Marina in Russia and the Marsa Al Seef Development in Bahrain, the company is also developing other marina projects in the Middle East.

Operating under a new name after an alliance between Island Global Yachting (IGY) and G-Marin, Mourjan Marinas IGY offers the full range of technical, development, operations, marketing and administrative expertise to design, construct, and manage world-class marina facilities internationally.

Founded in 2005, IGY focuses on acquiring, managing, and servicing luxury-yacht marinas and the surrounding upland real estate properties. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, IGY has offices in New York and St. Thomas, USV. IGY is an affiliate of Island Capital Group LLC, a real estate merchant banking firm led and founded by Andrew Farkas, former chairman of Insignia Financial Group.
