Home buyers on the hunt for their dream home have to weigh many factors before making a decision. But what do they really want? What is really important?

Using data from the National Association of Realtors, USA Today content partner 24/7 Wall Street compiled a list of the amenities that home buyers most desire--and what they are willing to pay to get them.

The list from USA Today:

11. One or more fireplaces

  • Percentage of home buyers willing to pay more: 40%
  • Extra amount willing to pay: $1,400

10. Eat-in kitchen

  • Percentage of home buyers willing to pay more: 40%
  • Extra amount willing to pay: $1,770

9. Home less than 5 years old

  • Percentage of home buyers willing to pay more: 40%
  • Extra amount willing to pay: $5,020

8. Stainless steel appliances

  • Percentage of home buyers willing to pay more: 41%
  • Extra amount willing to pay: $1,850

7. Kitchen island

  • Percentage of home buyers willing to pay more: 48%
  • Extra amount willing to pay: $1,370

6. In-suite master bath

  • Percentage of home buyers willing to pay more: 49%
  • Extra amount willing to pay: $2,030

5. Hardwood floors

  • Percentage of home buyers willing to pay more: 54%

4. Granite countertops
