Sharon Stone Lists Beverly Hills Home for $8.9 Million

Actress Sharon Stone recently listed her Beverly Hills area compound for sale at $8,995,000.

The walled and gated Mediterranean estate sits at the end of a private road on five acres with pathways, bridges, waterfalls, fruit trees, a meditation garden, a swimming pool and a tennis court with viewing pavilion.

The main house, built in 1991, includes a paneled library with a fireplace and an oversized living room with a wet bar. The master suite has a fireplace, dual bathrooms, dual dressing rooms and a terrace. The guest house contains a media room, a gym and two bedrooms, for a total of seven bedrooms and 7½ bathrooms. There is covered parking for about 14 cars.

Stone, 53, starred in the '90s films "Total Recall," "Basic Instinct" and "Casino," for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. More recent work includes "The Burma Conspiracy" (2011) and several appearances on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2010).

The actress bought the property in 2006 for $10,995,000 and put it back on the market later that year at $12.5 million, according to the Multiple Listing Service. She leased it out in 2008 for $35,000 a month.




His Lake Retreat Was Expendable

Sylvester Stallone has sold his retreat at Lake Sherwood for $4.2 million.

The 1.75-acre property in Thousand Oaks, Calif., sits on more than 500 feet of waterfront. A 3,600-square-foot main house, built in 1946, has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Additional structures include a boathouse, guest quarters and caretaker's quarters.

Stallone, 65, first starred in the mid-1970s as boxer Rocky Balboa in the "Rocky" movie series. He went on to play John Rambo in "First Blood" (1982) and has continued that role as recently as 2008 in "Rambo." Last year he starred in "The Expendables," and he will appear in "The Expendables 2," due out next summer.

The lakefront property had been listed at $4,495,000. Public records show he bought the house in 2008 for $4.85 million.



Leaving Another Zip Code Behind

Actor Jason Priestley has put his Toluca Lake home on the market for $2.1 million.

A courtyard leads to the entrance of the gated 3,266-square-foot Mediterranean house, which was built in 1990 and recently refurbished. The family room opens to a formal dining room and covered patio. The master bedroom suite includes a stone fireplace and cathedral ceilings for a total of three bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms. There is a swimming pool and a spa.

Known in the '90s for playing Brandon Walsh on "Beverly Hills, 90210," the 42-year-old Priestley now stars on the Canadian sitcom "Call Me Fitz."

He bought the property in 2007 for $2.14 million, according to public records.



Time to Part With Her 'Little House'

Actress Melissa Gilbert, who made her mark as a child star on "Little House on the Prairie" starting in the mid-1970s, has listed her Tarzana, Calif., home for sale at $1,195,000.

The gated compound of more than a third of an acre sits at the end of a cul-de-sac. The 4,609-square-foot ranch-style house, built in 1955, includes five bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms. The upstairs master suite, with vaulted ceilings and a balcony, overlooks the swimming pool. A separate guest quarters contains open living space, a kitchenette, a bedroom and a bathroom.

Gilbert, 47, will star in the upcoming TV movie "The Christmas Pageant." She also starred on the TV show "Sweet Justice" (1994-95).

Public records show that Gilbert and her husband, actor Bruce Boxleitner, bought the property in 2005 for $1.26 million. She filed for divorce last month.

Boxleitner, 61, reprised his 1982 "Tron" roles last year in "Tron: Legacy," was a regular on "Babylon 5" (1994-98) and starred on "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" (1983-87).



Carrying Torch Out of Los Feliz

Two-time "Survivor" contestant and actor Jonathan Penner and his wife, film director and producer Stacy Title, have sold their home in Los Feliz, Calif., for $1,641,250.

The Monterey colonial revival, built in 1933, has 2,745 square feet of space including a paneled den with a fireplace, four bedrooms with balconies and 2 ½ bathrooms.

Penner, 49, appeared in the 13th season of the reality series in the Cook Islands and was forced to leave Season 16's fans-versus-favorites competition in Micronesia after a knee wound became infected.

The actor starred in the TV series "Rude Awakening" (1998-2001) and "The Naked Truth" (1995-97). He was in "The Last Supper" (1995), which Title directed. The couple has worked together on other projects, including the Academy Award-nominated short film "Down on the Waterfront" (1993).

The property previously sold for $532,000 in 1996, according to public records. It came on the market in February at $1,779,000.
