Global Listings to Acquire BETTER MLS Proptech Startup
Miami-based property listings search engine Global Listings has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire whole ownership of real estate technology startup BETTER MLS in the coming weeks.
Scheduled to launch in mid-2023, BETTER MLS is currently building a new nationwide consumer-facing real estate listings search platform on BetterMLS.com. The website will exclusively be powered by licensed real estate agents' and brokers' verified listings (of all property categories and transaction types) across the United States.
"We (Global Listings) are excited about the prospects of acquiring, funding, developing and spinning out BETTER MLS as its own separate operating company in 2023," said Global Listings CEO, and founder of Gerrity Capital, Michael Gerrity.
Gerrity further commented, "Unlike other existing major U.S. listings search portals like Zillow and Realtor.com, once launched next year, we look forward to driving all consumer leads sourced off each Realtors' own listings directly back to them, exclusively. We are big believers in the mindset of 'Your Listing, Your Lead' business mentality."
