Famed Golfer Gary Player Bringing World-Class Golf to Bulgaria

(BULGARIA) -- Hall of Fame golfer Gary Player, now one of the sport's leading golf course designers, continues to break new ground in countries where golf is emerging in popularity. And one of the globetrotting golfer's newest frontiers is Bulgaria, where he has two Gary Player Signature Courses in the works.

For three years, Player has made numerous site visits to his two high-profile Bulgarian projects near Varna, Thracian Cliffs and BlackSeaRama.

On July 18, Player will be present for the official grand opening and charity golf tournament at the world-class BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas resort.  The 7,200-yard, par-72 course occupies a dramatic coastal site on an elevated plateau that affords panoramic views of the Black Sea.

In what is Bulgaria's first gated golf community, BlackSeaRama's links-style layout offers fescue covered land forms into a routing that takes full advantage of breathtaking views of the Black Sea.  Player commends the developers for having optimized the land use here to create something truly special for golfers around the world.

The resort's co-owner, Krassimir Guergov, also serves as president of the Bulgarian Golf Association.  The commitment to a first-class golf experience is reflected in his selection of Gary Player Design to ignite the golf tourism boom and foster the growth of the game in the country.

Within 13 miles of BlackSeaRama, Gary Player Design is completing the construction phases at Thracian Cliffs Golf & Spa Resort, which is slated to open in late 2010.  Player, who on July 17th makes his fifth visit to the project, has enthusiastically stated: "The site at Thracian Cliffs reminds me of Pebble Beach and I expect the golf course to be just as dramatic."

Player firmly believes that Thracian Cliffs will prove to be one of the top resorts in all of Europe.  The course routing utilizes the stunning white cliffs and presents vistas that Player says rival any golf course anywhere in the world.

Thracian Cliffs, also located on the northern Black Sea coast, is one of Bulgaria's largest master-planned resort-style developments. The $152 million development will include a marina village, a mineral spa, boutique hotel, villas, townhouses and apartments.

Bulgaria is a golf destination waiting to be discovered. The southeastern European country sits at the crossroads that links the East and West, and it has served as a busy intersection of ancient cultures for more than 1,300 years.  The Gary Player-designed Signature Courses at BlackSeaRama and Thracian Cliffs will offer the upscale international golf traveler, as well as local golfers, an exceptional and memorable playing experience.

PCS Development Introduces "Flex-Invest" Program at Bahía de los Sueños

(BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, MEXICO) -- PCS Development announced July 5 a unique program to stimulate additional development within its oceanfront resort here, allowing select homebuilders to acquire land at Bahía de los Sueños with minimal initial investment. The pioneering "Flex-Invest" program creates a "win-win-win" situation for PCS Development, its partner builders and future residents at "The Bay of Dreams," a 4,300-acre residential retreat along the Sea of Cortez.

Bahía de los Sueños comprises an estimated 600 custom homesites and plans for 450 casita-style residences, a Tom Doak-designed 18-hole golf course, luxury spa and hotel, and boutique commercial centers. Currently, more than 50 homesites have been purchased and at least a dozen homes have been built or are under construction at the Bay. The golf course - centerpiece of the Bahía de los Sueños Golf Club - is scheduled for completion in January 2010.

"Bahía de los Sueños has experienced tremendous growth over the past 18 months, from Tom Doak's blossoming 18-hole masterpiece to the infrastructure improvements that have brought exciting progress here," said Paul Jennings, Principal with PCS Development. "As we continue to realize the magnificent vision of Bahía de los Sueños, we will sponsor third-party land acquisitions that present reduced-risk opportunities for spec-home construction. We anticipate that this program will create new revenue opportunities for PCS Development and our partner builders while stimulating local economic growth."

PCS Development has not cited specific financial parameters for the program at Bahía de los Sueños. The developer expects to enter individual negotiations with each building partner. In most cases, participating homebuilders will be expected to fulfill financial obligations only after the successful sales of their spec-built custom residences.

Bahía de los Sueños, which spans 4,300 acres,  is located just 35 miles southeast of La Paz and 100 miles northeast of Cabo San Lucas.

PCS Development (PCSD) is a privately held, multi-faceted organization with expertise in acquisition, development, construction build-out and ongoing asset management. PCS Development - solely owned by Principal Paul Jennings - was founded in Los Angeles in 1994. Established for the purpose of acquiring multi-family buildings damaged by the 1994 Northridge, Calif. earthquake, PCSD grew rapidly while vertically integrating into a robust organization with acquisition, construction and property management divisions. PCS Development's record of accomplishments includes more than 75 luxury multi-family and senior-living properties totaling over 4,000 units, as well as urban and mixed-use projects.
