Prince's Golf Club, one of the world's most historic golf courses, now has a world-class lodge to accommodate guests.  The new lodge is the culmination of more than two years of multi-million course renovations and property improvements.

Located along England's' stunning Kent coast near the historic towns of Deal and Sandwich, Prince's Golf Club officially opened its doors this week to the new Lodge at Prince's. The occasion thoughtfully occurred on the 80th anniversary of the first shot struck at the British Open, hosted by the club in 1932.

The onsite Lodge at Prince's will set a benchmark for golf accommodations in the region and underlines the club's relentless dedication to transforming itself into one of golf's most complete links golf destinations. The new accommodations will provide the perfect complement to Prince's 27-hole championship layout, which is currently receiving rave reviews after undergoing extensive renovations and improvements under the stewardship of internationally-renowned management and agronomy specialists Troon and European Golf Design, the Golf Course Design Company of The European Tour and IMG.

"This is a momentous occasion for everyone involved in what has been an exciting two years witnessing the transformation of the courses and the construction of our new onsite accommodations," said John George, general manager of Prince's Golf Club & The Lodge at Prince's. "We look forward to welcoming both visiting golfers, members and locals to The Lodge at Prince's and servicing them with warm hospitality, a first-class dining experience and the ability to unwind and relax after golf in our sumptuous bedrooms and apartments."

Featuring 38 bedrooms with en-suite facilities, lounge, bar, terrace and snooker room, The Lodge at Prince's is also blessed with a modern, contemporary dining experience in The Brasserie on the Bay, where emphasis is placed on serving traditional Kentish produce with attention to service and quality. Guests are also provided with fantastic views of Prince's Golf Club, Royal St. Georges Golf Club and Pegwell Bay to the White Cliffs at Ramsgate.

"From the moment we were first appointed by Prince's, the potential for it to be transformed into a must-visit golf destination was clear to see," commented Bruce Glasco, Troon's senior vice president & managing director, International Operations. "To see this dream realized is extremely satisfying and is undoubtedly a testament to the owner's passion to turn Prince's into a magnificent golf facility."

Along with its neighbors, Royal St. Georges and Royal Cinque Ports, Prince's shares the famous strip of links land between the towns of Sandwich and Deal, making it a haven for golf enthusiasts in Southern England and further afield. Host of the 1932 Open Championship won by Gene Sarazen, Prince's Golf Club is one of only 14 courses to have hosted the most famous event in golf.

Further highlighting its championship pedigree, the course has also welcomed The European Tour, The Curtis Cup, the Ladies British Open and The Amateur Championship, which it will again be co-hosting in 2013.

Prince's Golf Club is managed by Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Troon, the world's largest golf management company also specializing in homeowner association management, private residence clubs, estate management and associated hospitality venues. The company oversees operations at Troon Golf (daily-fee & resort) and Troon Privé (private) properties located in 29 states and 26 countries.
