Hollywood actor Richard Gere is selling his Hamptons estate for the high price of $65 million, earning him a pretty profit if sold.

The "Pretty Woman" and "Officer and a Gentleman" actor paid $6.9 million for most of the New York property in 2005, paying $1.68 million for the rest in 2007, according to Trulia.

Known as Strongheart Manor, Mr. Gere's 12,000-square-foot home has 12 bedrooms and 12 baths set on more than six acres of land with 300 feet of waterfront.

The high price tag provides a buyer with panoramic water views, rolling lawns, waterfront pond and dock permits, making it a "unique property that can never be replicated," according to the listing
