Ricki Lake Selling Brentwood Home

Emmy-winning daytime talk show host Ricki Lake is selling her long-time home in Los Angeles for $8.75 million. 

Ms. Lake purchased the estate, located on the popular Carmelina Drive in Brentwood, in 2002 from celebrity house flipper Courteney Cox, according to Real Estalker.

The plantation-style 5,226-square-foot main house has five bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The living room offers "soaring wood beamed ceilings, multiple French doors and large skylights capturing an unparalleled indoor/outdoor atmosphere, just perfect for entertaining," according to the listing. 

The master bedroom has two fireplaces and radiant heated floors, Redfin reports. With Moroccan-style furnishings, the patio leads to an outdoor kitchen. 

Celebrity property reports speculated Mr. Lake may be looking to downsize since her talk show "The Ricki Lake Show" was cancelled earlier this year after just one season. Maybe she's just ready to move on.

Famous home owners on the wealthy street of Brentwood include Maria Shriver, Arianna Huffington, Lindsay Buckingham and Betty White, according to Real Estalker.
