(DUBAI, U.A.E.) -- Cirque de Soleil opens its touring show Alegria tomorrow in Dubai in a big tent outside Ibn Battuta Mall. Shoppers there got a preview last weekend as some of the performers came out of the big top and into the aisles of the mall and the spaces around the food court. Cirque de Soleil will be there for a month, through April 5.

People who have bought tickets for Alegria will get an extra treat. On the day of the performance they attend, they can find discounts of up to 20 percent on pre- and post-show dining at many restaurants.

Participating outlets include Al Safeer, Charley's Grilled Subs, Finz, Gloria Jean's Coffee, Hatam Restaurant, Hediard, Marble Slab, Mashawi, Mex Chic Inn, Pizza Express, Santinos, Shamiana, Soy, Sugoi, Tandoori and Zyng.

Bernice Boshoff, General Manager, Ibn Battuta Mall, a property of Nakheel Retail, said, "It's a great way of making a very special day even more enjoyable, and it provides the perfect excuse to beat the rush and avoid the extra traffic before and after the show."
