(DUBAI, U.A.E.) -- The Middle East's largest boat show opened in Dubai today with a special bonus for visitors to the Island Global Yachting (IGY) booth. For filling out a form, they get a week free berthing for their boat at Anchor Marina, the luxurious first marina on Palm Jumeirah, the first of the artificial palm islands off the coast of Dubai. Should they buy a vessel during the Boat Show, they are guaranteed a spot at Anchor Marina.

Anchor Marina, developed in partnership with Nakheel, is set to open later this year with 520 berths for yachts 10-30 meters long and high tech features like LED illumination, underwater lights, wireless internet connections, and concierge services.

Michael Horrigan, CEO Middle East and Europe, IGY said, "Located on the iconic landmark Palm Jumeirah, Anchor Marina will propel Dubai onto the global stage as a yachting destination of choice." The Dubai International Boat Show runs until through Saturday, March 7, at the Dubai International Marine Club.

Headquartered in New York, IGY has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; St. Thomas, USVI; and Dubai.  IGY is an affiliate of Island Capital Group LLC, a real estate merchant banking firm led and founded by Andrew Farkas, former chairman of Insignia Financial Group.
