(ABU DHABI, UAE) -- As the date for the opening of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world's first Ferrari theme park, draws closer,  the organizers are providing some information about what to expect. Ferrari World opens its doors on October 28.

"Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will offer an exhilarating experience for families and fans alike which they will cherish forever," said Andy Keeling, Park Manager for Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. That includes more than 20 rides and weatherproof attractions under the iconic 200,000 square meter red roof.

"There's more to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi than the thrill of speed racing and powerful cars," said Keeling. "The park celebrates Ferrari's past and present, and pays homage to its Italian roots," he added. On entering the park, guests will walk into colorful landscaped areas representing the Italian countryside, with many of Ferrari's most famous cars showcased throughout. An enormous crystal-glazed funnel is the center piece of the world's largest indoor theme park.

"Few brands in the world are capable of eliciting such strong reactions of passion and fervor," said Keeling. Every  attraction  "tells a piece of the legendary Ferrari story; the powerful cars, the racing triumphs, the technical innovation and the authenticity of the homeland that embraces all that rich history."

Galleria Ferrari will be the world's largest Ferrari showcase of Italy with an interactive display of cars from 1947 to the present, while Made in Maranello offers a unique opportunity to go behind the doors of the famous Ferrari factory in Maranello, a privilege previously only enjoyed by Ferrari owners.

Youngsters will be able to learn driving at the Ferrari Academy, the racing school complete with junior race track and driving circuit. They will start on the roads of Junior GT before stepping up to race in Ferrari F1™ cars at the Junior Grand Prix. For younger children the Junior Training Camp has an interactive area with a waterless car wash, a custom constructor garage, remote cars, miniature Ferrari boats, and an F1™ car made entirely of soft foam.

For those who want thrills, there is Formula Rossa, the world's fastest roller coaster with top speed of 240 kilometers per hour.  F1™ enthusiasts will be able to live their dream of riding with racing champions as they skid through tight corners and spin through wet surfaces at Driving with Champions.

Ferrari is a quintessentially Italian brand, so the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi experience would not be complete without great food. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will offer a range of restaurants and cafes serving guests exclusive Italian dishes with a true taste of Italy, including Mama Rosella, a traditional family style Italian trattoria, and Cavallino, an elegant restaurant.

"There are few leisure destinations in the world that can offer the awe-inspiring attractions Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has in store for its visitors," concluded Keeling. "Ferrari owners and drivers have enjoyed the distinctiveness of this aspirational brand for decades; now it's everybody's turn to experience it!"

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is a world-class development by Aldar Properties PJSC, Abu Dhabi's leading property development, management, and investment company and will be managed by Farah Leisure Parks Management LLC, a joint venture between Aldar Properties PJSC and ProFun Management Group Inc., an international leisure facilities management and operating company.
