In a new digital economy, connectivity and data services are becoming an increasingly more important part of corporate America's decision making process when choosing future office locations.

Case in point, the owners of Miami's 600 Brickell at Brickell World Plaza has just signed a 12-year lease with the international law firm Hogan Lovells, a top 10 legal services provider. Hogan Lovells will occupy approximately 40,000 square feet of the new Class A office building in the heart of downtown Miami's financial district starting in early 2013.

"We believe that Hogan Lovells has found a perfect home here," said Tracy Story, President of Leasing for the developer, Foram Group. "In developing 600 Brickell, Foram Group created a superior working environment combining all the elements of a world-class office building with the sophisticated amenities of a five-star hotel. There is no building quite like it, with an unsurpassed combination of location, amenities, security and technology."

"Hogan Lovells looked at all options within the market and ultimately concluded 600 Brickell to be the ideal location for its Miami office because of its amenities, quality of construction, and technology infrastructure," said Glenn Gregory, executive vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle, who with JLL's Noël Steinfeld represented the landlord in the deal.

Exceptional amenities include a state-of-the-art conference and fitness center, with panoramic views from the 14th floor, campus-wide WiFi/cell phone service extending into the elevators and the landmark Brickell World Plaza - a 30,000-square-foot urban oasis.

600 Brickell is also the only high-rise office building in Florida, and one of a handful in the world, pre-certified as LEED Platinum, the highest rating available from the U.S. Green Building Council.

"Beginning with our first site visit, our team has been very impressed with Foram's commitment to developing, managing and maintaining a world-class office building.  The design elements, the infrastructure and management objectives are all second to none.  We are very pleased that Hogan Lovells has selected Foram's 600 Brickell for the firm's new Miami offices," said Richard P. Rome, executive vice president at Studley, who with Alexandra Hunihan, Greg Katz, Chris Lovell and Mike Hopper,  represented Hogan Lovells in the transaction.
