Hedge fund mogul Steven Cohen has reportedly listed his Manhattan duplex apartment for $115 million, which would make it the most expensive apartment in the United States -- if he gets his price.

The apartment is in the One Beacon Court condominium, which is part of the Bloomberg Tower on the East Side, the building that serves as the home to the Bloomberg financial empire. Details are still sketchy at this point -- there is no public listing or photos available. The report comes from the New York Times' DealBook blog, which notes Mr. Cohen is paying $60 million for a new home in the Hamptons.   Mr. Cohen, owner of SAC Capital Advisors, paid $24 million for the 10,000-square-foot apartment, located on the 51st and 52nd floors, in 2005, Real Deal reports.

One Beacon Court is listed as "New York's finest white glove condominium." The tower, which has been popular with celebrities and athletes, is a short walk from Rockefeller Center. Apartments feature "extraordinarily high-ceilings with floor to ceiling windows to show off the exquisite views of Central Park, the Hudson and East Rivers, along with much of the tri-state area," according to listings.

But Mr. Cohen's asking price may be ambitious. A three-bedroom, 2,669-square-foot apartment in One Beacon Court is listed at $14.995 million, not including the $46,000 annual maintenance fee. A two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath apartment in the center was recently listed for $5.15 million.

If sold, the deal would surpass the $88 million price paid last year for a penthouse in 15 Central Park West by a Russian billionaire and the $90 million deal in contract for two duplexes at One57.
Put into perspective, the most expensive condo ever sold in Miami had a price tag of $34 million, according to The Real Deal.

Although apartment prices in Manhattan keep rising, Mr. Cohen's pad still has a long way to go to earn the title of most expensive apartment in the world. An apartment in Monaco sold for $304.8 million in 2010.

Mr. Cohen, who is reportedly worth $10 billion, has been on a buying spree. Earlier this week he reportedly paid $155 million for a Picasso painting, "Le Rêve," considered one of the most expensive private art deals in history, the Times reported.
