In honor of the Fourth of July, we spotlight five luxury estates for sale throughout the United States. Nothing says red, white and blue like a grand, sprawling property, the epitome of the American dream.

As America celebrates another birthday, a non-comprehensive list of good ol' fashioned American luxury properties:

Location: New Hope, PA
Price: $50 million
Size: 196 acres, 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths

Fashion-Farms-New-Hope-PA.jpgNot far from Philadelphia, the birthplace of independence, Fashion Farms is part of a network of four horse farms covering 464 acres. (It's also not far from where Washington famously led his troops across the Delaware River in 1776.) The estate includes about 175 standard bred horses, including, but not limited to stallions, broodmares, colts and fillies, according to the listing. The price tag includes all the equipment needed to breed and raise the horses. The property includes a greenhouse, shed, second garage, second house and, of course, the farm buildings.

Location: Cambria, CA
Price: $58 million
Size: 80 acres, 11 bedrooms, 12 baths

American_Castello-One.jpgNothing says "Great American Estate" like an imitation Venetian castle. Castello della Costa d'Oro was built on California's pristine central coast. The private estate includes a main residence, guest and staff quarters, a showcase storage facility for the obligatory exotic auto collection, a helipad and entertainment halls. The property has unobstructed 180-degree ocean views of Moonstone Beach to the south and the Piedras Blancas lighthouse and Hearst Castle to the north. The property is bordered by a state park and conservation lands, promising privacy for the castle. The property features a grand ballroom, onyx bar, wine cellar, 9,000-square-foot pavilion, 16 custom mural pairings, 15 mural painted domes and a 6-acre pinot noir vineyard.

Location: Greenwich, CT

Size: 3.28 acres, 6 bedroom, 6.2 baths

American_greenwich.jpgBuilt in the early 1900s, this European-style, blue-blood waterfront estate features 440 feet of exclusive shoreline. The 12,788-square-foot mansion has undergone a "top-to-bottom museum-quality renovation," and features detailed interiors, including French doors, nine fireplaces and a solarium with a stucco exterior. It includes a 100-foot stone terrace, stone pier and deep water mooring. The house is owned by film producer Bob Weinstein, co-founder of The Weinstein Company, a classic American rags to riches success story. He reportedly purchased the estate in 2000 for a little more than $16 million.

Price: $19 million
Size: 9 acres, 9 bedrooms, 11 baths

WPC News | Seafair, Newport, Rhode IslandBuilt in 1935, Seafair is a crescent shaped residence designed to complement the rugged coastline in Rhode Island, which was the first colony to declare independence from Britain. Originally known as Terre Mare, the property was designed by James Mackenzie, Jr. for Denver mining heir Verner Zevola Reed Jr. The main house has ocean views from every living space and is serviced by two elevators. WPC News | Pyramid Point Estates in Aspen, ColoradoSize: 14,000 square feet, 6 bedrooms, 9 baths

The estate, offered as "turn key finished," includes 43 rooms, eight fireplaces, an indoor pool, an outdoor spa area, three bars, a home theater, a large patio with fire pit, its own waterfall and two hot tubs, according to its listing.
