(RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO) -- Interval International, a leading timeshare exchange company and provider of vacation services, added The Reef Playacar Resort and Spa to its worldwide exchange network. Situated in the town of Playa del Carmen in Mexico's Riviera Maya, the beachfront property features 202 suites surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

"The Reef Playacar offers an all-inclusive vacation experience that is highly desired by our members," said Interval International's Marcos Agostini, vice president for Latin America, resort sales and service. "They can enjoy its prime location, excellent service, and myriad amenities and activities right within the resort community."

The all-inclusive plan provides access to a white-sand beach, swimming pools, restaurants and bars, nightly entertainment, a Kid's Club with planned events for children ages four to 12, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and volleyball. Meals, snacks, and drinks are complimentary at the buffet or a la carte restaurants.

For an additional charge, guests are welcome to schedule a massage at the state-of-the-art spa, a romantic dinner with champagne, or a beach wedding. Scuba diving excursions, lessons and certification, and parasailing and wave runner rentals are available through the marina dive shop. Tee times reservations can be made at the 18-hole golf course across the street.

Nearby attractions include the Mayan ruins at Tulum, the eco-theme park Xcaret, nature sanctuaries, crystal-clear ponds (known locally as cenotes), the island of Cozumel, and the city of Cancun. The resort is steps from shopping on Playa del Carmen's famed 5th Avenue.

"We are very pleased to affiliate Reef Playacar with Interval because we know that our owners will appreciate the many valuable benefits they will receive -  especially the ability to exchange their vacations for the extensive number of high-quality resorts that are part of the company's worldwide network," said Jose Luis Mendoza, general manager, The Reef Playacar. "Our goal is to give them the opportunity to create unforgettable experiences with their families, just like they would in Playacar."

Interval International, which is based in Miami, is an operating segment of publicly traded Interval Leisure Group. Interval has operated membership programs for vacationers and provided value-added services to its developer clients worldwide for 34 years.

Interval currently offers more than 2,500 resorts in over 75 nations. The company has 14 international offices and two million family members.
