(England) -- British custom homebuilder Banner Homes announced it had a record-breaking year in 2011 with 39 custom home sites sold. This success comes on the heels of two previously buoyant years for sales, with 28 new sites exchanged in 2010 and 35 new sites in 2009.

"With continued tough market conditions we are delighted to have been able to secure so many new land deals," said group land director John Kennedy. "Banner Homes has a dedicated land team in each of our three regional companies, all of whom are committed to finding the best sites in the very best locations."

Banner Homes says it is synonymous with building exceptional homes for their purchasers, whether it is a two-bedroom apartment or a six-bedroom home. The average selling price for Banner Homes is now around £600,000.

"We are finding that land agents and land owners are approaching Banner Homes much more because in uncertain times, they are keen to find a partner with a reputation for maximizing land values, unlocking the potential of even the most difficult land opportunities and delivering quality homes that continue to sell, whatever the market conditions," Kennedy added. ""Banner Homes is seen as a secure and successful development partner and our policy of designing homes to fit each specific site rather than imposing a limited palette of house designs across the board not only makes the new homes easier to sell but invariably speeds up the planning process as well. We would encourage all those who have land with development potential to take a closer look at Banner Homes for themselves."

Banner Homes has been building since 1975 and has achieved a considerable reputation for developing homes of traditional quality on sites ranging from individual detached houses to developments of 100 dwellings and more. The company operates three regional divisions, Central, Southern and Midlands, which gives Banner coverage of central and southern England.

Banner representatives say they continue to search for new land opportunities throughout the Midlands and southern England. After 11 years as a Company quoted on the London Stock Exchange, Banner underwent a management buy-out at the end of 1998 taking it from public to private ownership
