(RICKMANSWORTH, ENGLAND) -- A collection of high-spec apartments in a London-area community is proving to be a big draw among recent home buyers considering 35 percent of the homes were snapped up after the recent release of the town's newest development called, "One."

Since launching a fully furnished show home several weeks ago, "One in Rickmansworth" has seen an influx of interest from buyers looking to secure a home in this attractive area located just 30 minutes from central London. The exclusive collection of apartments built by Oakford Homes offers a choice of spacious, one, two and three bedroom apartments, all benefiting from access to features including a communal roof top terrace, private balconies and separate laundry rooms.

The popular collection of homes, located within the town center, have proved that despite market conditions, good quality homes combined with an excellent location are still in strong demand, according to Oakford Homes. Since launching in January, 35 percent of the homes at One in Rickmansworth have already been reserved.

The homes at One all boast high spec kitchens (Bosch/Smeg appliances are standard), along with en-suite designer bathrooms, complemented by stylish open plan living space.

"At One we have been able to combine a high standard of design and interiors with a great location," said Chris Coates, Managing Director of Oakford Homes. "Every home is built to an exceptionally high specification, giving that essential wow factor, as soon as you enter. We were confident that the homes at One were going to appeal to a wide range of buyers, but the number of reservations we have seen in the first two weeks has been outstanding. The broad appeal of these homes has been reflected by our buyers to date, which have ranged from downsizers and young professionals to investors and first-time buyers. With the amount of interest we have experienced since the launch, we're hoping for another sell-out success here, like we've seen with our previous developments."

The development includes two separate blocks of apartments; each consisting of 14 exclusively designed homes. Phase one, which has been named Ochre, includes a selection of elegant two and three bedroom apartments. Phase two, named Amber, includes a mixture of stylish one and two bedroom apartments.

"Since we first started selling the homes at One, the feedback has been fantastic," said Alex Sewell of Sewell Gardner, who have been marketing the homes. "Buyers have been really impressed with the high standard of finish throughout. The attention to detail just shows how carefully the homes have been planned - with their future owner in mind. This, combined with a development's great location, has made the homes a real success."

The homes at One are just a short walk from Rickmansworth's local amenities as well as its excellent transport links, including the main line railway station and the metropolitan line. Residents can benefit from a short commute into central London, while also being able to enjoy a full range of local shops, bars, restaurants and leisure facilities, all on their door step.

Prices for one-bedroom homes start from £205,000 or $323,449 and go up £405,000 or $639,000 for three-bedroom units.

Oakford Homes is a privately owned local home builder based in Denham Village, Buckinghamshire.
