(ABU DHABI, UAE) -- While continuing to build for its huge expatriate community, the Abu Dhabi government is also taking care of its own citizens. Today, Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's leading property development, management and investment company, announced three contracts to deliver key infrastructure at Al Falah, one of the new UAE National Housing Communities described in Plan Abu Dhabi 2030.

Launched in 2009, Al Falah will provide 5,000 homes for UAE families in five villages, each with approximately 970 villas plus three schools, mosques, and neighbourhood retail, health, and leisure facilities. Near Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway, Al Falah has been designed as a practical and sustainable community of approximately 12 million square meters.

Infrastructure contracts were awarded to local companies Hilal Bil Badi & Partners (Hilalco) for Village 1, Ghantoot Transport & General Contracting Establishment for Villages 2 and 3, and Al Jaber Transport and General Contracting LLC for Villages 4 and 5.

The companies will build 178 kilometers of roads, 198.5 kilometers of water networks, 149.5 kilometers of sewers, a medium and low voltage power network, and up to 100 kilometers of fiber optic communication cable

Talal Al Dhiyebi, Director of Planning & Infrastructure, said, "This is a further step forward in our mission to build sustainable communities to cater to the growth needs of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and in particular, increase housing availability for UAE families." He added, "Aldar is committed to providing world-class infrastructure for all of its developments from the outset, and will continue to work with best-in-class partners to deliver this."

Aldar Properties PJSC has been listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities market since 2004. Aldar's diverse property portfolio includes Yas Island, Al Raha Beach, Central Market, Nareel Island, and Motor World in Abu Dhabi and Noor Al Ain in Al Ain City. The company owns more than 50 million square meters of land in strategic locations throughout the Emirate.
